If you are still wondering what Team Juicy is about – it is a movement which aims to bring together women to make them fitter, healthier and happier. It is a community which empowers and inspires women in Singapore to become the juiciest best versions of themselves.
Last month, we hosted our first workout event, “BBG X BRUNCH” and fast forward 2 weeks later, we held our second event which brought together over 30 girls (plus 2 cute toddlers) to the lululemon athletica Duxton showroom for a Saturday morning full of fun, fitness and food.
To get their sweat on, the girls applied the GLOWskinny Arms & Tummy Gel before starting the workout. Then it was straight into action with a FAST AND FURIOUS HIIT circuit led by Juicy Rae’s trainer, Bervin. Try this super simple FULL BODY workout this week as an awesome challenge.
BERVIN’S BODYWEIGHT WORKOUT (BBW)
- Plank – 30 secs
- Side Plank – 30 secs each side
- Plank to Push-Ups – 30 secs
- High Plank – 30 secs
- Push-Ups (modified) – 30 secs
- Mountain Climbers – 30 secs
- Jump Pikes – 30 secs
Rest for 1 min
- Knee Tuck Sit-Ups to Squat Jumps – 45 secs
- Alternating Jump Lunges to Squats – 1 min
- Burpees – 1 min
- Single Leg Lunges – 30 secs each leg
- Air Squats – 1 min
Rest for 1 min
- Push-Ups (modified) – 20 reps
- High Plank with Alternating Shoulder Taps – 30 secs
- Glute Bridges – 30 secs
- Glute Birdge – Hold for 1 min
- Lying Leg Raises – 20 reps
Following the sweat sesh, the girls re-fuelled with Oh Yeah Nutritional Shakes from Nutrition Depot. They sat and cooled down while listening to a nutrition talk by Bervin on why it is essential to understand and consume protein whether you are into fitness or not. With protein supplements getting more popular these days, we also had the team from Nutrition Depot shared their expertise on what women need in a protein supplement and whether we even need it at all. The girls also won some whey protein and BCAAs samples during the quizzes.
Just when we thought the girls were already pushed to their limits during the workout, our #JuicySquad amazed us fit their strength, stamina and endurance during the fitness challenges! The winners walked home with a goodie bag worth over $80 each containing GLOW Arms & Tummy Gel, Venum Nutrition Matcha Green Tea Whey, a drink bottle, Quest Bars and Quest Chips courtesy of our sponsor, Nutrition Depot. We were blown away by the Longest Plank participants Beverly and Jin Yin by their 10 minute plank! We decided to crown both girls the winners for their efforts! All girls also went home with a super cute and pink drink Nutrition Depot bottle and 2 Quest Bars.

Dosirak provided us with a beautiful and delicious spread of healthy Korean rice bowls in 3 flavours (soy chicken, sweet potatoes & avocado, beef bulgogi).
Seed & Soil brought much needed hydration in the form of their signature cold-pressed juices. All that planks, burpees and squats have worked up quite an appetite!
Before we knew it, the event was over and we got our final few photos all together and said our goodbyes. It was so rewarding to see girls exchanging numbers and telling us they can’t wait to bring their other girl friends along to our next event.
This is what #TEAMJUICY is all about, achieving overall wellness and a balanced approach to exercise. We’ve found a way of incorporating exercise into our lives and a way of working out that we LOVE. We aspire to help everyone do the same and hope to make fitness fun and inclusive for everyone!
